Alternative Spain with a quieter pace of life, low key beach resorts and a traditional glimpse of Spain through the eyes of a bygone age.

Costa Almeria is located on the south east coast of the Spanish mainland, east of the Costa del Sol.  It's hot, dusty and dry and is probably the last section of Spain's Mediterranean coast where you can certainly claim a beach for yourself. The main allure of the region is its wonderful coastline and semi-desert scenery where beautiful empty beaches and scattered inland villages rise up from the mountain gorges and are just waiting to be discovered.

Costa Almeria (the silent coast) is a popular summer holiday destination with European visitors in search of quieter pace of life. The region plays host to some of Spain's most popular holiday resorts with Roquetas de Mar and Mojacar the most popular.

Each resort offers a something-for-everyone appeal through its own individual brand of atmosphere and charm. Mojacar offers a blend of modern accommodation and tourist attractions complimented by the old world feel of its ancient hill-top village whilst Roquetas de Mar is a purpose built tourist destination that attracts holiday-makers from far and wide.
